It’s revolution time again!
After its three successful editions in 2012, 2014 and 2016 Jonnie and Thérèse Boer and their team of Restaurant De Librije will once again organise ‘CHEFS(R)EVOLUTION’. The fourth edition will take place on Sunday 9 and Monday 10 September 2018. This Dutch Avantgarde Cuisine Festival will be held in and next to Restaurant De Librije and ‘De Spiegel Theatre’ located in regional dynamic capital Zwolle. CHEFS(R)EVOLUTION is a collaborative effort, with the team of Port Culinaire and Thomas & Carola Ruhl.
This gastronomic festival will provide among other activities, cooking demonstrations supervised by international high-class chefs in De Spiegel Theatre, a Wijn- & Spijspaleis (Wine & Food Palace) arranged by the best Dutch restaurant owners, cooking competitions, special wine workshops, tasting rooms and the BOERenmarkt XL (referring to Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, literally ‘farmers market’) in line with the working methods and innovative vision of Jonnie and Thérèse Boer.
Chefs cooking demonstrations
On Sunday 9th and Monday 10th of September the stage of De Spiegel theatre will turn into a high class kitchen where international chefs provide insights into their work with inspiring shows. Next to a demonstration of Jonnie and Thérèse Boer the following successful chefs will be present on stage.

Presentation is in the capable hands of Hans Steenbergen, trend watcher / chief editor of Food Inspiration.
In the coming period the organization will announce more names of chefs.
BOERenmarkt XL (FARMers market)
In addition to the international cooking demonstrations, you are very welcome to join the freely accessible BOERenmarkt XL where you can get acquainted with the rich variety of Dutch products and ingredients. Discover the (wine) farmers and Jonnie and Thérèse Boer’s various traditional suppliers accompanied by a fine selection of (Alliance Gastronomique) chefs. In collaboration with Dutch Cuisine, we approach an (Alliance Gastronomique) restaurant per province, a total of twelve restaurants. These chefs will prepare the most delicious little dishes. The perfect treat of culinary creations and matching wines for a great price.
Unique cooking contest
Just like the previous edition, unique cooking contests will be part of the programme. The participants, selected beforehand through pre-registration, will explore the wider region, using a map on which a few places have been marked by Jonnie Boer. The participants will collect ingredients at these locations that they will use in their menu, with the intention to win over an international top chef jury with their dishes.
Tickets for the cooking demonstrations can be reserved via www.chefsrevolution.com and Theatre De Spiegel. Admission tickets cost €55.00 for one day and €95.00 for two days, per visitor. Untill March 2018 there are early bird tickets available for €50.00 for one day and €85.00 for two days, per visitor. There is no entrance fee for the BOERenmarkt XL.
