It’s Revolution Time again – the jubilee edition!

It’s almost time! After months of preparations, the program of CHEFS®EVOLUTION – the jubilee edition – is ready! On the 4th & 5th of September 2022, the culinary event will take place in and around De Librije and theatre De Spiegel in Zwolle. These two days are completely dedicated to gastronomy, enjoyment, and discovery. Jonnie and Thérèse Boer together with the De Librije team, in collaboration with Thomas & Carola Ruhl and the Port Culinaire team, are ready to welcome you.

CHEFS®EVOLUTION program in theatre De Spiegel
During the interactive cooking demonstrations, a selection of the best chefs in the world will present their skills. Hans Steenbergen, trend watcher/editor-in-chief of Food Inspiration, will be responsible for the presentation. Thérèse Boer will give a demonstration together with Joël Broekaert and Sem Beks. Top chefs Rasmus Munk and Eduard Xatruch share their culinary vision in a demonstration. Chocolatiers & pastry chefs Bart de Gans and Peter Remmelzwaal take you into their creative world of Maurits during the tribute to Maurits van der Vooren.

Participants HillBilly Contest
This year the Hillbilly contest will be extra special. Talents from the culinary world compete against each other in this spectacular competition. In a short time span, chefs prepare a meal that is judged by a top jury. Together with an assistant and maître/sommelier, they will compete to create the best dishes and combinations. Participants in the HillBilly Contest this year are the talented: Joost Bax, Joris Bijdendijk, Jeroen & Marleen Brouwer, Mike Cornelissen, Takis Panagakis and Jermain de Rozario.

PRESS RELEASE BOER&MARKT 2022

During CHEFS®EVOLUTION on the 4th and 5th of September, there will also be the ‘Boer&Markt’. The area around theater De Spiegel and De Librije has been transformed into a gastronomic market with restaurants and suppliers that Jonnie and Thérèse Boer work with. They introduce the public in an easy and accessible manner to the products and ingredients that the Netherlands has to offer with beautiful and honest dishes and matching wines. Let yourself be surprised by all the delicious things the market has to offer.

Participating restaurants and (wine) suppliers present their range. As a visitor you can buy a dish from the restaurateur and a delicious wine pairing from their wine partner. There is also a pop-up restaurant of Brass Boer Thuis, Bonaire & Curaçao located in the loading dock of the theatre.

But there is more! Participate in the free workshops such as the Cheese War or a tasting on a boat through the canals of Zwolle. In addition, there are several competitions to follow. Talents from Sterklas ROC Amsterdam, Cas Spijkers Academie, ROC Friese Poort and Drenthe College are taking on the challenge with veal during the VanDrie Group Cooking Competition. This year, the HillBilly Contest: REVENGE edition is going big, old contestants will compete to win the title. In a short time, they will prepare a meal that will be judged by a top jury.

There is plenty of entertainment for the entire family. Children up to the age of 12 can visit the Boer&Markt for free. From 13 years and older, a ticket costs EUR 12.50. This gives you access to the Boer&Markt, and you receive the unique CHEFS®EVOLUTION anniversary glass with welcome drink.
